Chrome extension
Your tab buddy with main-character energy
PetForWeb is a Chrome extension that adds a virtual pet to your browser tabs. Toss snacks, drag them into dramatic poses, play fetch when you should be answering email, and watch moods swing from sunshine to side-eye. They remember you—across tabs, reloads, and whole afternoons of procrastination.

Stuff you will actually do
Six tiny superpowers for turning boring scroll sessions into co-op mode with something that wags, sulks, or demands snacks.
Yeet & park
Pick them up, plop them anywhere—corners, spreadsheets, your ex’s LinkedIn. Position can stick around like a sticker with opinions.
Stalker mode (cute)
Flip on follow-the-cursor and watch them zoom after your pointer like it owes them money—with just enough obstacle sense not to yeet into oblivion.
Spam love, get drama
Clicks rain hearts… until you overdo it and unlock premium sass. Emotional range included; therapy bill not included.
Fetch, but make it comedy
Throw the toy, watch the sprint, celebrate the triumphant return. Each species has its own toy flex.
Snack economy
Hunger ticks down because drama needs fuel. Crack open the popup, feed the gremlin, enjoy the little victory dance.
Main stage fits
Beanies, goggles, main-character accessories—stack the drip until your pet looks ready for a tiny Met Gala.
Mood ring, but it is alive
Be the hero who brings treats—or the villain who clicks like a woodpecker. Either way, the vibes will be loud.
Delulu (happy)
Hearts, sparkles, the whole “you are my whole internet” moment.
Side-eye city
Rapid-fire clicks earn the “seriously?” bubble. You earned this.
Main-character meltdown
Keep poking the bear (metaphorically). The bubble gets louder. You love it.
Nope mode
Your cursor becomes public enemy #1 for a beat while they collect themselves.
They have hobbies now
Hands-off? They still wander, nap, bounce, and judge the layout of your page. Hunger and timing add just enough chaos to feel alive.
Four activity states
Power nap
Tiny zzz energy—maximum cozy, minimum productivity.
Idle legend
Standing by, watching your cursor like it is Netflix.
Page patrol
Walkies with obstacle avoidance so they do not clip through reality.
Bounce house
Jump spam for people who like joy in vertical slices.
Rhythms & reactions
Boredom → plot
Leave them alone long enough and they will invent their own subplot.
Edge respecter
They hug the viewport instead of yeeting into the void.
Hot takes
Speech bubbles pop up when the vibes (and settings) allow.
Play fair
Big moves wait until hunger and mood say “okay, go be ridiculous.”
Snack meter of destiny
Hunger sneaks down while you doomscroll. When it gets dire, high-energy hijinks go on pause until you open the popup and bribe them properly.
- Starts full when you summon your chaos child
- Feeding = instant serotonin + meter bump
- Low fuel = no parkour (they are dramatic about it)
- Species-specific “feed me” theater
Messy little arc (optional)
Sometimes life gets… organic. A clickable surprise, paw-print trails if you lean into the bit, and a cleanup button when you remember you are an adult (optional).
- Only shows up when hunger says “we are doing this”
- Click the mess; live your truth
- Clean from the popup when dignity returns
- Trails while “chaos mode” is engaged
Big brain, tiny roasts
Flip on optional signed-in goodies and your pet might comment on your vibe (in broad strokes—think “coder energy” not reading your passwords). Dashboard sparkles live on the new tab page when you want them.
Contextual quips
With AI enabled, they drop short, silly lines about what kind of corner of the internet you are in —shopping rabbit holes, compile errors, or “one more video” loops—without peeping at what you type.
Dashboard daydreams
Glanceable snippets, categories, and “maybe do not live on that site” tools—served on the new tab page when you are signed in and feeling organized-ish.
They remember everything (the good stuff)
Persistence so your pet does not reset like a goldfish every refresh. Continuity is the whole cozy fantasy.
Screen position (yes, they have a favorite corner)
Species + drip (accessories stacked)
Current “what are we doing” state
Follow-cursor chaos toggle
Snack level & hygiene drama flags
Emotional weather report
Visible vs hiding under the digital couch
Treat stash picks
New tab = mini carnival
Sign in and the new tab page can sprout PetForWeb extras: a runner game for fidgety fingers, little stat confetti, and knobs for sites you want handled differently.
Runner mini-game
Tap-tap reflex candy while your brain warms up.
Activity snippets
Colorful crumbs about where your week wandered off to.
Blocked sites toolkit
Tell the dashboard which domains need a gentle “nope.”
Inclusive chaos
Fun should not fight your flow. We keep keyboard paths and labels in mind so assistive tech can hang out too.
Keyboard hops
Jump with Enter or Space where it makes sense—no mouse required for main-character moments.
ARIA when it counts
Layers get names and roles so screen readers are not left guessing.
Popup that announces itself
Controls in the extension UI speak clearly instead of mumbling “button, button.”
Adopt the gremlin
Free, fast install, uninstall if your heart is stone. We will still think you are neat.
